The freshmen (C/O ’08) study Arizona history at
the Arizona State Historical Society.
They also went to the Arizona State Museum. They organized the trip themselves and we took city buses to the
U of A.

Doug, Nobel Laureate Dr. Roger Guillemin, Terri,
Sarah, Yuvitza, Barb, and Jose take a break from discussing Prof. Guillemin’s
work in endocrinology and computer art to pose for a picture. They were guests at The Salk Institute for
Biological Studies in La Jolla, California.

Terri has a discussion with Prof. Guillemin. They had exchanged emails before the
conference and he had read her essay, “The
Sustainable Age”, and said it was “superb”. It was Terri who initiated the trip based on her interest in
Neuroscience, Psychology, and Medicine.
The scientists at The Salk were very impressed with the students and
would like very much for us to return and continue a relationship with them.
