Wells Fargo’s CollegeSTEPS Program is designed to give high
school students a head start on planning for college. By registering with the CollegeSTEPS Program Scholarship
Sweepstakes, students will automatically receive electronic postcards detailing
vital college preparatory information, the program is free. Once students register with the CollegeSTEPS
Program Scholarship Sweepstakes, they become eligible for a chance to win
one of 100 $1,000 tuition prizes.

The Phi Beta
Kappa Association of Greater Tucson is
pleased to announce its second annual scholarship awards. The will be offering ten $500
scholarships. This scholarship is open
to all high school JUNIORS who meet the following criteria: GPA of 3.8 or higher, coursework
demonstrating thorough preparation for college-level work, a broad range of
interests and abilities, intention to earn an undergraduate degree, good
character, demonstrated by characteristics such as volunteer and service

The Arizona Association of Chicanos for Higher
Education, the Pima Community College Chapter is offering 6 $300.00
scholarships. To be considered as a
recipient of the Pima Community College AACHE Scholarship you must: be an
Arizona resident, as defined by PCC guidelines, admitted to PCC, minimum of
2.5GPA, be a Chicano/Latino heritage.

The Peace
Partner Scholarship is planned as an
annual $500 gift to a member of the Sunnyside High School graduating class who
applies in writing and who meets the following criteria: the applicant should
submit a letter using specific examples of how s/he exemplifies past and
present involvement in, and future commitment to, our peace partnership. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis
of commitment to continuing to work for peace, financial need, and a
demonstrated contribution to SHS and our community. For more information please visit the counseling office.

The Arizona Private School Association is offering partial tuition career scholarships. Graduating seniors who wish to go to an
Arizona Private Career School or College need apply. Stop by the counseling office to check out the list of private
schools offering the $1,000 scholarship.

The League of Mexican American Women is offering a scholarship. Applicants must be a US Citizen, be passing all classes, submit application with supporting letter, latest W2 statements, financial need. Applications are available in the counseling office.

The A.W. Bodine-Sunkist Memorial Scholarship is being offered to seniors, from agricultural backgrounds, who are in need of financial assistance to further their education. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. All applicants must submit personal and financial information, a written essay, transcripts, and two teacher references. Applications are available in the counseling office.
The Sears Craftsman
Scholarship is funded to
provide an incentive for graduating seniors. Twenty-one $1000 scholarships will
be granted to three (3) students from each of the seven (7) geographical
divisions. Applicants must be of good character, possess a minimum 2.5 GPA,
show evidence of leadership ability, involvement in extracurricular school and
community activities, and planning to attend an accredited (2 yr. - 4 yr.)
college, university, or technical/vocational program. Applications will be
assessed on : scholastic record, school activities & community involvement,
personal, handwritten statement, recommendations, financial need. Applications
are available in the counseling office.

The Roy Quinn Scholarship fund will award one $500 scholarship to one Sunnyside Senior who plans of
continuing their education in the areas of science or science education. Applicants must submit a complete
handwritten essay of 75 words or less explaining why they want to be the
recipient of this scholarship. They
must also request an evaluation from two teachers and at least one letter of
recommendation from a science teacher.

The Sunnyside Education Service Professionals Association (SESPA) annually awards one $500 scholarships to a Sunnyside High School senior who plans to attend an accredited college or a university within Arizona. The applicant must pursue a degree in business or a business related field. Interested applicants must submit three letters of recommendations, three evaluations from teachers, counselors or employers, completed application form and a current high school transcript. Applications are available in the counseling office.

The Women’s
Active 20/30 Club of Southern Arizona
is a non-profit organization made up of
professional women who are dedicated to improving the lives of children in
Tucson. This scholarship is given every
year to a senior high school woman who is attending an Arizona University or
College. Applicants must be a
volunteer, a minimum GPA of 3.0, write a personal essay, two letters of
recommendation, copy of official transcripts.
The value of this scholarship is $500.

The Arizona
Chapter of the National Latino Peace Officers Association is offering it’s 13th Annual
Scholarship. This scholarship was
created to provide an opportunity for students between the ages of 17 –22 with
substantial financial need to pursue a college education. Eligibility is based on: resident of AZ, b/w
17 – 22, GPA of 2.0 or higher. Please

American Public Works Association – Southern Arizona Branch has started an educational aid program open to students pursuing careers in public works. The APWA-SA Branch will provide up to $1,000 to individual applicants that are selected by the education committee. Requirements are: residency in AZ, 2.8 or higher GPA, enrollment in a program that will support a career in public works. Applications are available in the counseling office.

The Phoenix
SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) Post is pleased to announce that it will again be
awarding two $1500 scholarships and one $3000 scholarship for the Fall 2005
school year. Selection will be based on
scholastic achievements, distinguished leadership ability, community service
and written essay. Please visit the

The Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary is offering several scholarships to students. To be eligible, applicants must be accepted by an accredited college or university in the state of Arizona and must have cumulative 3.2 GPA. Courses taken must be undergraduate and in a health-related field such as nursing, physical therapy, medical technology, pharmacy, respiratory, occupational therapy, etc. The Anne Dardis Scholarship is also available to Carondelet’s employee children, volunteer or child of a volunteer. PacifiCare Latino Health Scholars Program will grant 4 scholarships of $2,000 each to Arizona high school seniors entering community college, university or an accredited technical college majoring in a health related field. Bruce Angwin Memorial Scholarship (formerly the
Wescon scholarship) is being
awarded to high school juniors. One award
is worth $3,000 and the other is
worth $5,000. Prospective Junior applicants must be
planning to attend a four-year college with an expectation of obtaining a BS
